For a movie filled with “big” plot developments, the film thrives on its quieter moments, thanks to the acumen of writer/director Gina Prince-Bythewood. Serendipity first introduces us to Jonathan (John Cusack) and Sara (Kate Beckinsale) as they’re reaching for the same pair of gloves inside a Bloomingdale’s.Its emotional climax comes from a straightforward scene where Lily and August thumb through a box of her mother’s possessions: a shiny, whale-shaped pin; a brush with strands of hair still caught in its bristles; a black-and-white photograph of mother and daughter in a warm embrace. It’s love at first sight, but they’re both dating other people, so they decide to leave things up to fate, writing their numbers down on a bill and a used book, releasing them into the wild and hoping those digits magically find their way back to them. Obviously, but that doesn’t make it any less of an enjoyable ride.—Bonnie Stiernberg 48.

By far the greatest, most well put together, well acted, tv show of all time.
It takes all the typical for example "cop," "political", "crime", "mystery" tv genre shows and combines all of them in one show and does them better than any other competitor in any category.
If you can fell emotions you just cannot live without seeing the painfull and tragic end of this amazing tv serie.
There is NO OTHER series that will never offer you that moment..movie neither. As an human being you need to feel this pain and live it for 63 episodes. Brilliant show - if you loved Seinfeld, you will love this, perhaps even more.
